A series of monotypes and chine-colle that explore the two very isolating yet comforting emotions of loneliness and anger and the realization of being one of many.

Family Lines is about my own relationships to my blood family and my found family. Each paper is representative of a person and has an embossing of crocheted chains in it. No two embossings are the same, just as no two people are. Each embossing is connected to the net and those embossings share “lines” with others. Some embossings are solitary and separated. The space around it becomes liminal in that it is always a temporary piece and it is white on white, a ghost in a room. Each installation will be different to emphasize the liminality of embossing and the ever-changing status of relationships between people.

GROW(TH) was my Senior Exhibition at Caldwell in which I printed linoleum blocks onto cotton which I then embroidered. GROW(TH) was an exploration of my personal journey of growing up and becoming a fully actualized person.

SHEDDING is my first full-length stop motion animation. In it, I explore the obsessiveness of changing oneself, constantly shedding layers to get to the “real” person underneath it all only to build those layers back and start over. The video is meant to loop infinitely.
PLUCKING is my second full-length stop motion animation dealing with obsession. In this I explore the anxiety disorder trichotillomania, or the intense need to pull out one’s hair.
